Clare Farnsworth, Blog, seahawks.com – Olindo Mare won the K position battle that I’ve followed this preseason. He gets the lowdown from Coach Mora has to why he was chosen over Coutu. This is something I’ve been curious about as I thought Coutu did very well this preaseason.

I’ve always wondered about the different terms for WR such as Flanker, Split End, and Slot. Or, using modern terminology the X, Y, and Z positions. Clare Farnsworth has a great plain-English article about this on yesterday’s Seahawks.com webpage. All quoted material used here is from that article.
He also goes a bit into the depth [...]

I love this quote about one of my favorite players, John Carlson. It’s from Miker Parker’s post on seahawkaddicts.com titled “Hasselbeck on KJR” Click here for the page
“It’ll be hard to take John Carlson off the field. The plays weren’t even designed for him last year. He’s a great dude, tremendous athlete and a great [...]

Coach Mora – I’ve been quite impressed with him so far. He has definitely shaken up the usual routine for the ‘Hawks this year, with new coaches, philosophies, training routines, and most noticeably increasing the pace of practice on the field. I liked the way he kept his head down & mouth shut last year [...]

Tatupu for keeping in contact with Curry during his holdout & updating him about team/position meetings
Matt for encouraging (mandating) everyone to work harder this off-season, and he certainly lead by example
Seahawks opening up VMAC to the public. Quibble all you want about the process, the results are apparent – both fans and players love it [...]

C Max Unger – has the intelligence & skills. He just needs to adjust to the pro level of play – I’ve no doubt he’ll be on the field if the OL continues to be as shaky as it’s been due to injuries
RB Justin Forsett – improved his speed, strenght, conditioning & using what he [...]
